We believe that early childhood education and care is provided using the following philosophical guiding principles:

- We believe that we can help the children reach their full potential socially, physically, cognitively, creatively and emotionally, within safe environment at the centre.
Goals of the Program
The following goals will be the basis of delivery of the programs at Southgate Daycare;
FUN - Provide an environment where child have fun and feels a sense of love and security. Self - To help child develop a positive view of self, to feel that he or she is Concept appreciated, valued, and respected for their unique and individual qualities.
Physical - To develop your child’s gross motor skills by providing opportunities and activities that will promote physical health and develop such skills as coordination, balance and flexibility.
Cognitive - To provide an environment and activities where your child can develop concrete and abstract thinking skills such as reasoning, discovery, and comprehension.
Intellectual - To provide opportunities and build on opportunities to develop language, communication and listening skills.
Creativity - To encourage child to express his or her own individuality through imagination and creative play using a variety of materials and activities.
Emotional - To assist child in identifying and expressing their emotions or feelings in an appropriate and positive manner.
Self Help - To encourage child’s self help skills to become increasingly more independent in caring for themselves in such areas of dressing, toileting, feeding and personal hygiene.
Our Daycare centre is run on Weekly Theme based program. Staff design different theme each week according to the time of year and children interest. All the activities for that week will be based on that particular theme. Children will be learning though fun and play activities.
